The Whistler 350 AW II is an updated version of the high-quality Whistler series backpack . Below is a list of updates and changes:

The Lowepro Whistler 350 AW is the smaller backpack in the Whistler collection , but it can still easily hold a professional-level system body with four lenses, a 13" laptop, and a whole bunch of accessories.

The backpack is supported by an internal flexible metal frame that provides protection. The 2.6-kilogram backpack is made of water-repellent and weather-resistant 420-denier ripstop nylon fabric, and the bottom is made of highly reinforced rubber-coated Hypalon® material, so moisture cannot penetrate the bottom and reach the contents of the backpack. Nifco® buckles are easy to use with gloves on.

The padded camera compartment is accessible in this updated version from both the back and the top of the backpack. The zippered door of the camera compartment is hinged in half, so you don't have to open the entire opening. Like Lowepro camera backpacks, the camera compartment is highly customizable with removable and movable partitions. No matter what your equipment is, the interior can be customized to suit it. The camera compartment can also be completely removed , which makes drying the backpack easier and faster, for example.

In addition to camera equipment, the backpack can also accommodate other equipment. There are pockets on the front and top of the backpack that are watertightly isolated from the camera compartment. The very spacious front pocket can hold, for example, hunting supplies. The partition between the front pocket and the camera compartment is also made of a material that can withstand sharp objects. So you can safely put a climbing axe in the pocket without fear that the blade will go through the wall.

The outside of the backpack has several straps and slots where you can easily attach poles, climbing equipment or a camera tripod. The reinforced structure of the backpack is made to withstand this type of stress, while still providing unhindered access to the inside of the backpack.

The Lowepro Whistler backpacks feature Lowepro's patented ActiveZone padding on the back, which is comfortable and allows air to circulate around the back. The interchangeable shoulder straps and waist strap make the backpack comfortable to carry even over long distances with heavy loads.

• Professional photographer Paul Morrison suggested we add a "hinged" back door that allows you to fully or partially open the backpack. This hinged solution is very practical when shooting in cold weather.
• The ActivZone™ system provides good support and keeps your back from sweating.
• The backpack is equipped with a removable AW rain cover
• The backpack's lid is hinged, so you can easily open only part of the backpack, allowing you to easily access your camera in case of rain.
• The front pocket is very spacious and can hold a wide variety of camping gear. The front pocket is separated from the camera compartment by a waterproof wall and has drainage holes on the bottom for liquids.
• The equipment compartment is equipped with MaxFit™ partitions, which save a lot of space, but still keep the equipment firmly in place.
• The inner part of the backpack is removable, making drying the backpack much faster.
• The outside of the backpack has several attachment loops where you can easily attach poles, climbing equipment or a tripod. The reinforced structure of the backpack is made to withstand these types of loads and still provide unhindered access to the inside of the backpack.
• The backpack is particularly well protected against moisture, including the bottom being well reinforced and made of rubber-coated Hypalon® material.
