The Haida Premium Brass Shockproof UV Filter is a durable, high-quality, and excellent value for money protective filter. While filters are usually made with aluminum rings, this Haida filter is made of brass. The advantage of brass is that the metal frame of the filter is more resistant to bumps and distortion - after damage, the filter glass is more likely to remain intact and the filter will not hang on the optics like aluminum.

The Premium Brass filter is designed for the demanding photographer. In addition to the high-quality metal part, the filter glass is made of German Schott B270 optical glass. There are 18 layers of coating on both sides of the glass, for a total of 36 layers of coating. Multiple protective coatings effectively repel dust, scratches and oil, keeping your lens clean even in the most challenging shooting conditions.

The filter has a light transmission rate of 99.8%, which puts the Premium Brass Shock Proof Filter among the best filters.

Like Haida's other premium filter sets, the Premium Brass filters also have a roughening on the metal edges to improve grip, making it easier to attach and remove the filter.
