The Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS, which came as a replacement, is a high-quality lens with image stabilization and a good zoom range for general use. The image stabilization allows for shutter speeds up to 4 stops slower than with similar lenses without stabilization. The aperture can also be adjusted from the lens ring if desired. The linear focus motor is silent and very fast.
