The umbrella fabric acts like a diffuser, with a light transmission of about 50%. As a result, the translucent umbrella provides a soft and even general light to the shooting space.

In addition to using a diffusing umbrella between your flash or LED light and your subject, you can also use a large umbrella to soften harsh sunlight when shooting outdoors. Just ask your assistant to hold the umbrella up between the sun and your subject.

Umbrellas are available in several different sizes and in shallow and deep shapes.

Deep or shallow umbrella? Compared to shallow umbrellas, deep umbrellas direct more light, which increases contrast. A deep umbrella allows for slightly better light control. Shallow umbrellas diffuse more light, which is especially useful when photographing large groups and large subjects.

The umbrella fabric is a neutral and heat-resistant fabric.
