Celestron Nexstar RS-232 Cable

The Celestron RS-232 cable is used to connect the hand control of a computer-controlled Nextstar telescope to the serial port of a computer.

Note: If your computer does not have a serial port, you can use a Serial-to-USB adapter to connect a serial cable to a USB port.

The cable allows you to operate the telescope from your computer screen. With the help of several available software, you can view the night sky from your computer just as it appears from your observation site, or rotate the telescope using computer control. It is also possible to update the software for the telescope's hand control using a computer.
